    IS THERE TREATMENT WITH BREATHING?

We approach breath from the side of yoga. One of the many benefits of yoga and perhaps the most important is that it brings us in the present. In yoga lessons we briefly mention that body and breath are in the present and the mind takes us to the past and to our thoughts about the future. Adherence to the past and to the fantasies about the future influences and restricts our breath to this time to this present moment. This is causing us all problems. Yoga meaning unity brings the mind to the present. This is achieved with the simple binding we make of every movement of yoga (yoga asana) with the breath and with ever more advanced ways, pranayamas, allways with breathing. Breath connects the body with the mind. In this way we keep the mind busy on the present in order to coordinate movement with breath. In meditation, often with the help of the breath emerge devices that interfere between us and the present. Here comes the question what breathing and what present? If the breath is in the present the mind also comes along. In our study abpoy breath it is obvious that the way we breathe has the tendency to adapt to something that happened in the past. Breathing adapts naturally according to our activities of the moment free of records from the past or from concerns for the future. Breathing is restricted with related muscle contractions in the muscles associated with respiration. In our yoga lessons, and in the sessions about breathing are presented the main ways that breathing can be restricted, causing symptoms and simple instructions to alleviate these symptoms. The whole process of liberation serves to bring the breath in the present and make it free again as it was originally. It is clearly a healing process. The limitations of breath cause various symptoms. Once we free the breath these symptoms vanish. What was probably the top one "side-benefit the therapeutic effect of the release of breath earns interest and is a central issue. Naturally we can say that there is treatment with breathing. It treats symptoms and brings in-depth treatment to the cause. The release of breathing extends beyond yoga practice and involves the whole community and everyone who feels that his breathing is not as it was. It is the yoga lesson that is most often required from us.

The term therapy is used in a very broad sense. For somebody to need therapy one must be sick. We may never consider those subconscious restrictions and holding patterns in breathing in any case as an illness. They happened at a time when we could not manage emotions or conditions we had to face. It is a natural protection we develop. I breathe means I feel too, rectricting my breath so I do not feel unpleasant emotions. The disadvantage is that breath keeps on this instant contraction and when the situation changes it does not return to normal, free of muscle contractions. Here it is up to us to consciously help to solve the muscle contraction. It is a delicate task tthat needs careful handling, because often, while breath is released there can occur and emerge the reasons that created the muscle twitch as incidents or as energy. We can stand by, encourage, support and guide and together with you achieve the magical opening of your breath.
