The Waves of Breath

.

The Waves of Breath is relaxation and meditation.
Increases awareness and improves breathing.

It helps the whole process: "Liberation of Breath."

..

The Waves of Breath" is a unique experience of deep relaxation and meditation. It is an excellent technique of Guided Relaxation, Self-Hypnosis, Yoga Nidra, Meditation that we offer in our Yoga Center in Athens Greece. It does not matter if it is called Yoga Relaxation, or Self-Hypnosis, however, the important is the result: deep relaxation, full recovery, increase awareness that connects us with the waves of our own personal, unique breathing. It is not just relaxation it also develops conscious breathing, conscious life. Yoga is well known for anti stress efficient results and our Yoga Center is also specially acknowledged. "The Waves of Breath" offer great contribution in our anti stress program. You may get a therapeutic effect. When we are in tension, in stress, our breathing is poor, short, shallow, as if we are in a hurry to catch something or to escape. Stress reflects on breathing. Perhaps some of us grasp their breath with the fear that if they do not do so they will not be able to seize the opportunities of life and will stay behind. While now we need energy, clarity, rich and deep breathing to meet modern needs and conditions. The way we breathe facing problems in everyday life looks more like a hard fight or a flight away as we used to do in our distant past. There is a third addition to the fight and flight. It is often encountered in nature. It is when we play "dead" cutting our breath and keeping it so we feel that we are safe. I am afraid this is a "failing" that tortures us coming from our distant past and fueled by modern education and supposedly modern conditions. As animals hold their breath when they have no other choice we keep our inhalation and stop breathing. In normal breathing there is a slight pause at the end of each expiration. Now we keep the inhalation to avoid falling behind, in order to overcome our fear or feeling that we might not succeed. Now we are no longer in danger to be eaten but still we keep the old habit and pretend to be dead. The question is, for what reason? In these circumstances we can understand how even the simple version of the art of relaxation in "Waves of breath" that is the first to be applied in our yoga lessons can cause wonderful results for the release of these habits. Times when we used to breathe in a rapid and staccato tempo and then stop it are over. We need the purity of thought, the clarity of mind that gives us a rich, profound and long lasting comfort and ebables us to breathe up to our energy supplies. To be able to keep up with actual conditions and challenges continuously presented. When relaxing the breath within us we relax, physically, mentally, spiritually. Thus we become effective. "The Waves of Breath" this method of yoga nidra - relaxation, will help us gain energy, clarity, rich and deep breathing. It is a unique experience of deep relaxation that we need so much. It is certainly an effective technique to deal with stress and tension. During the Relaxation stress and tension disappear. After the procedure I do not think that will come again. Little by little - with some yoga practice you will manage even without our guidance. You will be able to function without suffering and diminish the anxiety. It goes even deeper, it brings us in contact with the energy body. According to the tradition of yoga, breathing is the main body of bioenergy (prana). It is easy to experience this connection with the energy (prana) through breathing. This is easily achieved with "The Waves of Breath."

Relaxing the Breath

Relaxing breathing is essential for any Guided Relaxation, Yoga Nidra for every Self-Hypnosis and meditation also. There can be no relaxation if breath is in tension. It is a required condition for every and any session . It is an important tool that will introduce us to the state of meditation. We have our own meditation in breathing and the awareness of breath in meditation classes. Vipassana is traditionally done concentrating on this subject of the breath. Breath is the subject of many traditions. In our own Greek tradition we have many phrases: I took a breath, it cut my breath, as an example. In the lessons at the Yoga Center we emphasize on slow and deep breathing. There is also a separate section that we incorporate to the main yoga lessons and comes with our practice.

Breathing in Asana

There can be no asana without included breathing, a rich and free breathing. There is the famous series of yoga exercises (yoga asanas) "Salutation to the Sun" (Surya Namaskar) and in order to perform it we must tune, strengthen and follow the waves of our own breathing. We examine closely the possibilities of breath in all our techniques. We developed the meditation techniques in breathing and we have developed a method for opening and liberation. Our lessons in our Yoga Center in Athens Greece, we have this extraordinary experience and opportunity to wallow in deep relaxation, breathing, on the waves of energy, completely in the Relaxation-Self-Hypnosis "The Waves of Breathing."
